  • Now, click on the respective Hardware version mentioned on the screen and you’ll see the option for downloading the firmware from the screen.
  • Click on Download and the file will be downloaded on your system. In a majority of cases the firmware file will download as a zip file from linksys.com. You’ll need to unzip the file using WinRAR or such software.

  • First, login to the Linksys account. Once logged in, click on the Connectivity option from the extender Settings tab.
  • Second, in the firmware update section in the basics tab, click on the Choose File button.
  • A new dialog box will appear and you can select the downloaded file for upload. Once selected, click on the Open button.
  • In the next step, click on the Start button. You’ll see a pop up asking you for confirmation. Click on the Yes button and the device will start updating the firmware version of your device.
  • While your device is updating, do not turn off your device or try to interrupt the update process. A firmware update success screen will appear in front of you.
