Using the Extender.Linksys.Com web address
In order to use the default web address i.e. extender.linksys.com, you’ll need to connect to the local device network. And to connect to it, you’ll first need to connect the devices.
Here’s how you can:
- Connect your Linksys extender to the main router using an ethernet cable.
- Now, you can either connect to the range extender using another ethernet cable or connect your computer system to it wirelessly.
- Once done, go to the network settings on your system and locate the Linksys extender SSID. Once you see it, click on it to connect to it.
- Next, open a web browser of your choice and type extender.linksys.com in the web address bar. Press Enter and you’ll be directed to the Linksys extender setup page.
- Here, in the username and the password section, you can type in the credentials you see on the product label on the reverse side of your networking device.
- Once you do, press the Login button. You’ll now reach the main/ homepage of the Linksys extender setup page.
